Practical innovations boost return on investment with measurably better cleaning results

Innovative ways to achieve a better return on investment and cleaning performance will be shared on the Denis Rawlins Ltd stand at the Facilities Show

The Sutton Coldfield company, which has been advising building and cleaning managers for more than 40 years, insists that most can deliver measurably superior results at lower cost.

A prime example of this hard-headed approach is the REN™ Clean system for escalators and travelators. A simple and economical manual method, REN Clean uses an engineered sponge pad, which slots precisely into the treads of the escalator. The pad is first immersed in cleaning solution and then positioned against the combplate in the landing platform. Grease and soils are removed from the oncoming treads as they pass through the pad.

Following trials in London, escalator maintenance teams have vouched that this method cleans better than specialist equipment and improves grip under foot.

Yet the entire process takes no more than 15 minutes and a maintenance clean costs just £6.50 in consumables.

Denis Rawlins is also exhibiting innovative restroom and floor cleaning systems from Kaivac. Using reliable and robust components, these machines automate cleaning, boost productivity and remove soils leaving measurably hygienic surfaces.

The No Touch Cleaning system sanitises toilets and urinals, washbasins, taps and other touch points by spraying and suctions away the soils – in a third of the time required by manual cleaning.

Meanwhile, the OmniFlex™ CrossOver Cleaning system builds from a trolley bucket into an automated floor cleaning machine for any type of facility or budget. It too, uses a wet vacuum to remove soils, matching the output of a scrubber-dryer.

Tests have shown that the productivity of both machines not only slashes the labour costs of manual mopping, they also proved highly effective in removing bacterial contamination.
