RWM 2018 at the heart of the resource management industry

RWM 2018 – in association with CIWM – will once again be the place to be for those looking to network, share experiences, and seek out the newest technology and latest knowledge in order to help drive a sustainable economy.

RWM 2018This September, RWM 2017 welcomed more than 9,000 attendees related to the recycling, energy and water industries over three action-packed days at the NEC in Birmingham. Crucially, 74% of these visitors are key decision-makers who authorise or recommend purchasing decisions. Over half of all attendees are company leaders, senior management or department heads and, for the majority, RWM is the only show they’ll visit each year.

Nicola Meadows, RWM event director, Ascential, said, “2018 is set to be an exciting year for the resource management community with RWM 2018 a key focal point in collaboration within, and the development of, the sector.

“The show attracts serious players who know it is the place to be. Along with industry leaders, attendees at RWM 2017 included 8 of the UK’s 10 largest retailers, 59 universities, 39 hospitals and trusts, and 263 local authority organisations of every type were represented. The decisions taken by these organisations have a significant impact on the success of sustainability objectives.

“Sustainability goes beyond UK borders, so we were delighted to welcome attendees from more than 66 countries this year, the most we’ve ever had.

“We’re sure that RWM 2018 will be another great success and look forward to bringing the industry together to make the most of the opportunities to grow a sustainable UK economy.”

A unique opportunity

For 56% of visitors the primary reason to attend the show is to network and RWM provides a unique opportunity to meet the right people in one location. It also provides a high-quality programme of seminars and presentations.

The wide variety of experts speaking in 2017 included: Emma Howard Boyd, Chair, Environment Agency; Marcus Gover, Chief Executive, WRAP; Wayne Hubbard, Chief Operating Officer, LWARB; Andy Rees, Head of Waste Strategy, Welsh Government; Iain Gulland, Director, Zero Waste Scotland; Rhiannon Marsh, Power Responsive Manager at the National Grid; and Jessica Palalagi, Head of Waste Management, Marks and Spencer.

RWM 2018 will take place from 11-13 September at Birmingham NEC. To register your interest, please visit: www.rwmexhibition.com. If you are interested in exhibiting, please click here.
