Cleaning and FM specialist, In Depth Managed Services, has secured two prestigious window cleaning contracts with the University of Glasgow and Liverpool Housing Trust.
The contract with the University of Glasgow, which is the fourth oldest university in the English speaking world, has been awarded for the next three years, with the likely extension of another year thereafter. The contract will consist of providing regular window cleaning, both internally and externally, to all buildings throughout the vast campus.
The window cleaning will be undertaken using the latest in ‘reach and wash’ modern water-fed pole technology, alongside technically advanced suspended access equipment including mobile elevated work platforms, and rope access. These techniques will enable the campus to be cleaned and maintained safely, meeting the strict Work at Height (Amendment) Regulations, 2007.
Gary Johns, sales director designate for In Depth Managed Services, said: “Glasgow University is a great addition to our portfolio. We currently clean a number of large university sites within the UK, and we are really proud of the work the team have done in order to secure a high profile site such as Glasgow. Our management team will work closely with the client onsite, to ensure we provide an excellent level of support and the standards they rightly expect.”
In Depth will provide additional window cleaning, on request, for special events such as graduations or open days to ensure the university maintains its positive image.
The second contract, with the Liverpool Housing Trust will consist of providing a window cleaning service to over 642 residential properties throughout Liverpool and Cheshire and has been awarded for an initial 12 months, with the likely extension of up to five years.
Gary Johns added: “We are really pleased that Liverpool Housing Trust has chosen In Depth as its preferred contractor for the window cleaning contract. The tendering process has been detailed, and we are confident that our experience and teams can help improve service standards on the sites. We look forward to the coming months, where our teams will be out meeting the residents and ensuring a strong relationship is built and maintained.”
Agreed service levels for both contracts will be met using the latest technology to measure performance in real time, thanks to In Depth’s hand held PDA system, which captures and manages data remotely.
