Noise control software and engineering firm, SoundPLAN, has launched the latest version of its industry leading software for indoor and outdoor noise analysis, SoundPLANnoise version 9.1.

Designed for creating high-quality noise surveys, from standard investigations to special tasks, SoundPLANnoise 9.1. has a range of new features and software enhancement to model levels and dispersion of noise, to help prevent its harmful effects.

SoundPLANnoise encompasses multiple features, from modeling and calculation to tabular and graphic documentation in various levels of detail to produce informative plans for every possible enquiry in the fields of noise imission control, environmental acoustics, and room acoustics. This includes tasks such as infrastructure planning, approval processes, noise action plans, noise mapping, assessing open-air events, or designing open-concept office spaces.

The software creates colour coded maps, which are very visual demonstrations of where noise comes from and how it propagates. This is particularly useful when dealing with other planners or non-building professionals involved in the project. Mapping software can break down different noise components rather than just giving an overall figure as a measurement does.
